At Shawlands United Reformed Church, Glasgow21-22 November, 2017, 10.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m.

A two-day course, open to:

• Ministers in the Synod

• Those with responsibilities for pastoral care in congregations

• Anyone in congregations who meets and interacts with those who may be in need.This course, which is interactive and which provides opportunities for safe sharing, equips participants to spot signs and symptoms of poor mental health. It should also give confidence to be able to

• Provide initial help

• Be a bridge to appropriate professional help

• Keep people safe

• Promote good mental healthThe event is led by Mark Fleming, Chaplain to the Scottish Football Association. Mark has previously delivered this training for football clubs, NHS staff, and for churches.

Cost: £50.00Ministers may use EM3 funding for this event.All others are strongly invited to seek funding from the Synod Mission Fund.
