Helensburgh hosts Christmas tree festival

Helensburgh United Reformed Church is hosting its annual Christmas Tree Festival from Tuesday 16 December to Sunday 21 December.

More than 40 trees will be decorated by local groups, schools and organisations.

A "Seasonal Musical Interlude" of concerts and recitals by schools, local musical groups and individuals will take place throughout the festival.A prayer tree for requests will be available throughout the event.

A Community Gift Service will take place at 4pm on Sunday 21 December. The church will be open daily from 10am to 8pm, with tea and coffee being served daily.

Entry is free but all donations will be shared between two charities, a new local charity called Helensburgh & Lomond Autism/Aspergers Society and The Erskine Hospital.
