Visit to Kirk of St Nicolas, Uniting, Aberdeen, by HRH Duke of York HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York, takes time out from official duties as Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland to visit Aberdeen Kirk
On Wednesday 23 May Prince Andrew visited the Kirk of St Nicholas, Uniting, Aberdeen, at the invitation of the Prsebytery of Aberdeen. There he met the Moderator of the Presbytery of Aberdeen, Mrs Maureen Simpson, the Minister of the Kirk, Revd Stephen Taylor, office-bearers of Kirk and Presbytery and a number of guests. Followinbg a tour of the West Kirk, he saw and heard presentations by Revd Ian Barclay, Co-ordinator of the Presbytery's Malawi Appeal (supported by collegues) and by Dr Arthur Winfield, Project Leader, and Alison Cameron, City Archaeologist, on the Mither Kirk Project at the Kirk.
