Today saw the launch through the UK of a new campaign to eradicate world hunger. There was a lunchtime gathering in Glasgow at the top of Buchanan St.
The campaign, recognising there is enough food produced in the world to feed everyone and end hunger, brings together a hundred agencies, faith communities and charities and aims to raise enough support to challenge Governments and Companies to change the way we deal with taxes, overseas aid and land use.
Details of the IF campaign can be found on the Enough Food for Everyone website & YouTube site.
The United Reformed Church is a member of the campaign and the Synod Ecumenical Officer, Rev Mitchell Bunting, attended the launch in Glasgow representing the United Reformed Church.
