The congregations that make up the National Synod of Scotland are being called upon to nominate a deacon or elder to serve as one of the moderators of the United Reformed Church’s general assembly for 2013-16.
The general assembly is the decision-making body for the United Reformed Church and is made up of congregations’ representatives and ministers.
A letter with more details has been sent to all church secretaries.
The election has been triggered by the resignation of moderator-elect Lawrence Moore.
